An HR team on site, not on your headcount.

Our HR professionals work inside your organisation, running attendance, grievances, onboarding, exits and documentation. We also check the contractors and vendors who supply your workforce.

What are managed HR operations?

Managed HR operations is an outsourcing model in which a firm places HR professionals inside a client's organisation to run day-to-day workforce administration. Novelworx, a manpower and HR services firm headquartered in Bengaluru, embeds onsite HR staff for attendance, grievances, onboarding, exits and records, and manages contractor and vendor workforce compliance.

Who it's for

When HR has to happen on the floor.

  1. Large sites with thin HR

Plants, warehouses and offices where hundreds of people need answers in person.

  2. Companies growing past their HR team

The work has outgrown one person, but a full department is not yet justified.

  3. Businesses with many contractors

Several agencies supplying people, and no one checking that each is compliant.

  4. Companies preparing for an audit

Records, registers and files that need to be complete and in order.

Onsite HR

Day-to-day HR, run to a process.

Dedicated HR professionals at your site. Your HR function runs properly without adding to your headcount.

  • Onsite HR professionals
  • Attendance and leave
  • Grievances
  • Onboarding and exits
  • Employee records
  1. Attendance and leave

Daily attendance captured, leave tracked and both fed accurately into payroll.

  2. Grievance handling

A person on site employees can go to, with every concern logged and closed.

  3. Onboarding

Documents, induction and statutory registrations done before or on day one.

  4. Exits

Resignations, handovers, exit interviews and full and final settlement inputs.

  5. Documentation

Employee files, registers and records kept complete and ready for inspection.

  6. HR process governance

Policies applied consistently, with a monthly report on what happened and why.

Vendor management

Your contractors, checked before and after they start.

When a contractor supplies people to your site, their compliance gaps can become yours. We manage your contractor and vendor workforce so they do not.

  • Contractor onboarding
  • Agreement tracking
  • Monthly compliance checks
  • Vendor audits
  1. Onboarding documentation

Licences, registrations and worker documents collected and checked before deployment.

  2. Agreement management

Contractor agreements tracked for scope, term, renewal and statutory clauses.

  3. Statutory compliance verification

Proof each month that wages, PF, ESIC and other dues were actually paid.

  4. Periodic audits

Scheduled reviews of each vendor, with gaps reported and followed up.

How it works

From first visit to steady running.

  1. Site walk-through

We see how HR runs today and where it breaks.

  2. Proposal

Roles, staffing levels, scope and SLA.

  3. Placement

Our HR professional starts on site, briefed on your policies.

  4. Records clean-up

Files, registers and vendor documents brought up to date.

  5. Monthly report

Attendance, grievances, joiners, leavers and vendor compliance.

  6. Quarterly review

Performance against the SLA, and changes as you grow.

How it compares

Onsite HR, in-house HR or software alone?

  1. In-house HR team

    • You hire, train and manage the team
    • Headcount and cost sit with you
    • Best when HR is large enough to need its own leadership
  2. HR software alone

    • Keeps records and runs workflows
    • Someone still has to run the process on the floor
    • Best alongside people, not instead of them
  3. Novelworx onsite HR

    • Our HR professional works inside your site
    • Not on your headcount
    • Best for sites that need HR in person without building a department

Onsite HR works with your HRIS and your managers. It does not replace your leadership's decisions on people.

Questions, answered

What do Novelworx HR operations include?

Novelworx HR operations place dedicated HR professionals inside the client's organisation. They run attendance and leave, grievance handling, onboarding, exits, employee documentation and HR process governance. Novelworx also manages the client's contractor and vendor workforce, checking onboarding documents, agreements and statutory compliance, and auditing vendors periodically.

What is an onsite HR professional?

An onsite HR professional is an HR specialist who works at the client's premises but is employed by an outside firm. Novelworx onsite HR professionals handle daily workforce administration in person: attendance, grievances, onboarding, exits and records. They follow the client's policies and report monthly on what happened and why.

Are Novelworx onsite HR staff on the client's payroll?

No. Novelworx onsite HR professionals are employed by Novelworx, so they do not add to the client's headcount. Novelworx pays them, manages their statutory dues and replaces cover when they are on leave. The client gets a working HR function at its site under one service contract with Novelworx.

What is vendor workforce management?

Vendor workforce management is the work of checking the contractors and agencies that supply people to a business. Novelworx handles all of it: collecting onboarding documents and licences, tracking contractor agreements, verifying each month that wages and statutory dues were paid, and auditing vendors on a set schedule.

Why should companies check their contractors' compliance?

Under contract labour rules, a principal employer can become responsible for wages or statutory dues that a contractor fails to pay its workers. Checking contractors before and after they start reduces that risk. Novelworx verifies vendor documents, agreements and monthly statutory payments, and reports gaps so they are fixed early.

What does an HRIS do?

An HRIS, or human resource information system, is software that holds employee records and runs HR processes such as attendance, leave, payroll inputs, onboarding and exits in one place. Novelworx runs payroll and HR records for clients through a centralised HRIS, so attendance, pay and statutory data always match.

Can Novelworx run HR operations across several sites?

Yes. Novelworx can place onsite HR professionals at several client sites and run them under one contract and one account manager. Governance and reporting are central, while the HR work happens in person at each location. Novelworx has corporate offices in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai and further offices across India.
