For recruitment and onsite HR in a new city, Novelworx agrees the delivery approach and timelines in the SLA before work starts.
Why do state rules matter when hiring in a new city?
Many employment rules in India are set or applied at state level, including Shops and Establishments registration, Professional Tax and labour welfare fund contributions. Moving into a new state can create new registrations and filings. Novelworx checks what each new location needs before people start, so the new site begins compliant.
Can Novelworx run one payroll across several states?
Yes. Novelworx runs payroll for multi-state employers through one central HRIS, applying each state's Professional Tax and other state-level rules as notified. Every state's deposits and returns sit on the same compliance calendar, so the client sees one payroll, one report and one point of accountability across all its locations.
Which Novelworx office will manage my account?
Every Novelworx client gets a dedicated account manager at onboarding, whichever city they are in. The account manager owns reporting, the compliance calendar and quarterly reviews against the SLA. Recruitment and onsite HR are delivered locally, while governance runs centrally from Novelworx's Bengaluru headquarters and corporate offices.
